The protrusion on the top plug is at top right of the group of 4 wires, center plug=center right protrusion, bottom plug=bottom right protrusion.Īlso note that each plug will only fit in it’s own socket, and only in the correct orientation. Notice that the semi-round protrusions are in different locations next to their respective group of 4 wires. So now the black wire (ground) is next to the top right protrusion, and the yellow wire (12volts) is to the left of the black wire. Notice the semi-round protrusions next to the connection diagram? Now look at the wiring plugs and note that they have matching semi-round protrusions. If you rotate the stamped diagram 180 degrees, it will match the plugs on the radio. The stamp is correct, BUT is not meant to be taken as physically the same orientation as the plugs on the back of the radio. To remove a plug, depress the latch towards the wiring.

You may have to remove the plug to see the small letters.

You are dealing with sensitive I.C.’s in the audio here, and the usual precautions are in order be careful around IC connections. I have instructions on how to add the iPod jack to my AM radio. I would connect LF and RF + and - to the dash speaker, correct?Ħ.

I may replace my dash speaker with a dual voice coil speaker and then put a speaker in the rear arm rest panels. Trucks probably did not have woodgrain knobs.ĥ. Any guess what model GM vehicle it is from, and year? I am guessing 80s truck or maybe Caddy. I know I can connect two 4 ohm speakers in series and get 8 ohms.Ĥ. What ohm speakers are correct for this radio? My old speaker is 10 ohm. Is lamp for radio light? What would I connect it to?ģ. Won't use antenna because mine is not powered. 12 wires coming out of back include Lamp and Antenna. I would appreciate the wiring code if anyone knows it.Ģ. The two wires at the top,of the stack are yellow and black. Those wires are light blue and dark blue respectively. the wiring code is stamped on the case, but shows the ground and 12v as the two wires at the bottom of the stack of wires.
